New E-Teacher Course Offerings

Message from the Regional English Language Officer

We recently received news from Washington that we are offering some new E-Teacher courses, our online graduate courses for English teaching professionals:

The seven courses available for Spring 2010 are: 1. Teaching English to Young Learners,
2. Teaching English for Specific Purposes,

3. Building Teaching Skills Through the Interactive Web,

4. Methods I: Survey of Best Practices in TESOL, Methods II:

5. Developing EFL Literacy through Project Based Learning,

6. Critical Thinking, and

7. Assessment

The classes require a minimum of ten hours of work per week, for approximately ten weeks. Participants need a high level of English proficiency and a reliable Internet connection in a location where they can work thoughtfully. Scholarships are competitive. If you are in Morocco and wish to apply, complete the application and send it to RELO Ruth Petzold by October 15. If you are in Algeria, Tunisia, or Libya, please contact the Public Affairs Office.
